New things I've acquired so far..


I cannot write longer since I'm using the office's laptop. I'm bored :O my work was done a couple of minutes ago.. I hope the traffic will be lighter later than last friday.

Hitting two birds in one stone.

If I wanted a new phone, laptop, mp3 player, money, or just free drinks/dinner, I could have had it. :) Why? Tonight is a very interesting, funny, but scary and depressing night. Hmm.. Way back in Manila, I would always hear stories about cheating husbands or wives but I never see a living proof of it so I thought it wasn't that bad. Here I often hear stories, even those people who you least expect to have one has one. Bad bad. Awhile ago I was hanging out with 2 of my friends in Loewy - a resto bar just across our apartment building. As we were having a good chat about relationships, Jakarta, hobbies, and stuff, my friend and I was so surprised to see this Pinoy guy with the rumored young mistress. Aha! She's fat but yah, she looks young. No wonder why people give a second look to me and my dad everytime we walk around the mall. Haha! Well, this guy got a lot to prove specially he's looks. Prolly he cannot get to much attention from people or even his own wife. Haha! It wasn't really a big deal for me because he is a self-proclaimed babaero - womanizer. So we continued our conversation and then, surprise again! One of our family friends, arrive the resto with another girl! Tadah! I knew that their relationship was already on the rocks but I remember him telling that he's trying to patch things up with his wife. Is that his way of trying?

I got a lot of questions in my mind now. Why? Why? Why? Is it? Is it? Is it?

Getting Organized

It's been awhile since I last blogged coz I've been busy with my internship hunt. I got a couple of options but we'll see.. Mom and Dad went home so I'm currently in charge of everything. I've been hanging out with my friend, Leah a lot lately. We also found a new friend here, Malou. So yah.. My network here is becoming larger.

I have accumulated some beauty stuff lately...

2 Nyx trio for Rp112,00 - grrr. this is not a great deal because they're selling it online for around $6. :( nonetheless, the quality is good and I didn't have to wait for shipping.
Bloom's concealer brush - so far so good, it helps me blend my concealer better than using my bare finger tips.
2 Tina's dresser e/s brush - I wanted to have more e/s brushes to help me blend my newly acquired e/s. Tina's dresser brand is a good brand. I have their powder brush, blusher brush, and eyelash brush so far they are performing well considering the price which is not so expensive.
Nyx e/s applicator - I dunno why I bought it. Impulse.
Skinfood cream e/s - I use it as a base e/s.
L'oreal Made for Naturals lipstick - It gives me a natural look. This has been my favorite from the time I bought it.
Skinfood Pre-make up gel in Green Tea variant - I only used it twice, I guess it gives more matte finish of my make up.

I hate it. I'm starting to buy things which I don't really need that's why I'm broke now. :(

Anyway, I started to fix my things this morning. I'm not yet done though. But I took some before and after pics.

Internship Hunt

since this term is about to end in two weeks time, i needed to follow up my applications. i called The Jakarta Post and the HR girl asked me to e-mail my cv AGAIN. i also searched for other openings so i googled: internship jakarta. there were two relevant finds: one is from UNESCO which i also applied for and the other one is from www.internabroad.com - there was a new opening for Jakarta. yipee! so i tried to googled the company let's call it "BOMMEE" and tried to call them but the guy asked me to call again because they were having an internal meeting. i decided to e-mail them through the intenabroad site and i got a response in less than an hour! that was fast! :D here's the reply:

anyway.. i replied again and explained that i'm currently based in jakarta so i don't have an accommodation problem. i also attached my resume. few hours later, they called me and scheduled an interview. :) i'll go to their office on monday.

let's see.. ;) i hope they will offer me 4juta/month for 3 months. LOL

hmm.. i got so tamad to write the past few days. i'll just post some random updates.
- i got my first MMU stash from Lauress last Friday and can't wait to order more but will have it shipped to alain's baka ipakain na sakin ng nanay ko mga MMU ko.
- yesterday was public holiday, we went to grand lucky lang.
- i'm so happy that my friend is cleared from this eewy sickness.

Teman Tapi Mesra (Friends but Intimate)

Teman tapi mesra (TTM) is a bahasa indonesia term which literally means friends (teman) but (tapi) intimate (mesra).

When I first went to Indonesia, I thought it was a very conservative country because as we all know it is a Muslim-dominated country. I even asked my dad if I can wear sleeveless here. Haha! :D After living here for a year and a half, I proved myself wrong. It's basically just the same with the Philippines or sometimes maybe even more liberated due to suppressed feelings kept inside.

TTM is a very popular acronym especially amongst teenagers. The setup is just like flings. Though I cannot think of an exact term in Filipino. If you say you are TTM with each other, it means that you can act just like how couples act - kiss, sweetie tweety stuff, or maybe farther than that. I got a friend who got a bunch of TTMs but I would usually call it his FUBUs (fcuk buddies) and he would say nah, it sounds dirty and he prefers to call it friends with benefits in English. What's the diff? Fine, you're still friends after doing it.

Hmm.. In my opinion, usually at the end girls lose the game. Why? Cause girls are generally emotional. Once they became close with a guy there is a tendency that they would like the guy even if they have a no commitment arrangement. I actually thought about getting a TTM but I realized that I will just be getting myself another pain in the ass.

There are a lot of reasons why people nowadays tend to enter this kind of setup. I can just think of some, maybe you can add some more.

1. They are afraid to commit. Most people has their share of stories regarding heartaches and traumas on serious relationships that is why they just want to have fun and at the same time enjoy the "benefits" of having a partner without worrying too much.

2. They got no time for a serious relationship. I don't really agree with this because when you really like the person, no matter how busy you are, you can always find time. It shows that you're not really into him/her. Again, you just want the "benefits".

3. You are just so horny and don't want to worry about apa-apa (whatever). You are sick of demanding relationships, hate responsibilities, or maybe just want to have pure fun.

I got more reasons but I'm starting to get lazy. It is a sad reality but with this happening I could say that most people's values are really deteriorating nowadays. Sex is nothing. You can do it with whoever. The sanctity of marriage is no longer as precious as before.
